Marshalls Quarry
A quaint basalt deposit overlooking Lake Waihola, accessed via Baker Road from the rearward side.
Marshalls is routinely populated with maintenance metal, standard APs and shot rock providing a large volume of sales for Forestry roads in the area.
Geology
The resource material consists of Columnar Basalt type rock of the Dunedin Volcanic Group.
Quarrying
Rock is won by our internal drill and blast team. Shot rock is processed through our 1213S Impactor and stockpiled for customers. A loader equipped with scales and electronic docketing system is present on site at all times.
Convenience
As with our other minor quarries demand is intermittent at this site, so we optimise the ability for our clients to contact us and secure access, self- load and maintain the resource at an attractive sale price.
