Blackhead Quarries’ Blasting Division delivers safe, precise, and efficient blasting services supported by modern drilling equipment and advanced blast‑design technology. Operating two Sandvik DX800 drill rigs, our team ensures consistent hole accuracy, high productivity, and reliable performance across a full range of quarrying and rural projects.
We utilise Orica ShotPlus™ blast‑modelling software to optimise each blast design, improving fragmentation, minimising environmental impact, and maximising value for our clients. Where required, we provide on‑site vibration monitoring to ensure compliance, protect surrounding assets, and maintain community confidence.
Our services include:
