In the heart of the CBD, premium aggregates available just around the corner from your job site.

Quarrying started at Logan Point in the early 1920's and is now producing around 150,000 tonnes per year. Products range from general AP materials to class 1 quality M4 roadbases, all other AP products and variable sizes of boulders (POA).

Geology

Logan Point’s resource is based upon two separate phonolite domes being part of the second eruptive phase of the Dunedin volcanics. The resource contains zero silica.

Strategically some rock is imported from Mt Kettle for specific job requirements.

Quarrying

Rock is won by our internal drill and blast team. A 30 tonne excavator is used to load a 10 cubic metre rock truck to transport rock to the mobile jaw and cone crushers.

Cleanfill

Years of extraction at the bottom quarry, has allowed a sizeable void to be created. We now accept cleanfill at this site noting the restrictions of fill classification as detailed in the cleanfill tab.
